MegobeHotspot — Privacy Policy
Ace Limited LLC ("we", "us"), 6831 Eastview Dr, Lake Worth, FL 33462, operates the Hotspot application (the "Service"). Hotspot has one kind of user — a driver looking for demand — and no passengers, so this policy is short.
1. What we collect
1.1 Account. Name, email, mobile number, password (hashed by our authentication provider), language, subscription status.
1.2 Location. With your permission, your device location when you open or refresh a screen (to centre searches, plans and the arrivals list), when you write a field note (to say where you were), and to tell you whether you are inside the service area. We do not record a continuous track, and we do not collect location in the background.
1.3 Pickups recorded before 28 September 2026. Earlier versions of the app had a button to log a pickup (vehicle class, time and location). The button has been removed; any pickups already recorded are kept only while your account exists and are deleted with it.
1.4 Trip history you import. If you import your data export from another platform (for example Uber's "Download your data"), the app reads it ON YOUR PHONE: it matches each trip to the location log inside the export and sends us only the trips - time, product, pickup and drop-off point, distance and pay. The location log itself never leaves your phone. We use your trips to draw your own history map and reports. If you tick the box when importing, we also use them, without your name or account, to improve Hotspot's demand predictions for all drivers; you can delete your imported trips at any time from the history map, and they are deleted with your account.
1.5 Field notes. Text you write, the time you wrote it, and (if you allow) where.
1.6 Searches. The centre, radius, time window and mode of each search, and a per-day count used for the fair-use limit.
1.7 Technical. Device type and OS, app version, IP address, crash and security logs.
2. What we do NOT collect
No passenger data — the Service has none. No contacts, no camera, no microphone, no advertising identifiers, no cross-app tracking. No location while the app is closed.
3. Why
To run the Service and your subscription; to show estimates around you; to calibrate the models to real outcomes; for security and fair use; to reply to your notes; to comply with law.
4. Who sees it
Your account, pickups, imported trips, and notes are visible to you and our administrators only. Aggregated, de-identified statistics (for example "how many premium pickups happened within 250 m of this venue across all drivers") may be used in the models every subscriber sees; they cannot be traced to you.
Processors: Supabase (database, authentication, storage; US-East), our payment provider for subscriptions (Stripe, Inc.), and an email provider for account messages when enabled (Resend). Third-party data sources (BestTime, AeroDataBox, Ticketmaster, Brightline, adsb.lol, airport operators, OpenStreetMap) supply information to the Service; we do not send them your personal information. Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address and the map area you view.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising. We disclose data when the law requires or to protect rights and safety.
5. How long

6. Your rights and choices
You can turn location permission off in your device settings (the app then cannot centre searches on you). You can delete your imported trips in the app (Me → My history map), and delete your account in the app (Me → Delete my account) or by writing to support@megobe.com; your notes and trips are deleted with it. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict your data and to complain to a supervisory authority; contact us and we will act after verifying your identity.
7. Children
The Service is for licensed adult drivers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Security
Encryption in transit and at rest; row-level security so each account reads only its own rows; no secrets in the app binary. We will notify you and the authorities of a breach as the law requires.
9. International transfers
Servers are in the United States.
10. Changes and contact
